Wales headlines 13 December: Families pay tribute to teenage car crash victims

The families of three teenagers who lost their lives in a crash on Monday have all paid tributes to them, saying they will all be sorely missed. Callum Griffiths, 19, and Jesse Owen and Morgan Smith, both 18 were all killed in Coedely, with another two teenagers also in hospital with life threatening injuries.

A man is set to appear before newport crown court next week on suspicious of causing unnecessary harm to a protected animal and taking a protected wild bird. The 35 year old was charged after a video appeared of someone carrying a swan by its neck through a park in Caerphilly on 3rd december.

Plaid Cymru has called on members of the Senedd to return for an extra day next week to scrutinise an upcoming budget announcement. The Senedd are now on winter recess, with the budget set to be announced on 19th December. The minister in charge of government affairs says she sees no reason to bring members back for scrutiny.
